Rice Village is set to welcome a new destination for educational and creative play as Learning Express Toys & Gifts gears up for a grand opening event spanning three days, from March 28 to March 30.
A Hub for Learning and Fun
Learning Express Toys & Gifts specializes in educational items designed to support child development from newborns to preteens. The store’s inventory includes baby dolls, activity tables, coloring sets, sports games, scooters, and more, making it a go-to spot for quality toys and gifts.
The new location will be owned by Meg Sides, an experienced Learning Express Toys franchisee with additional stores in Houston and North Carolina. With a passion for fostering creativity and learning through play, Sides has dedicated her career to providing high-quality toys that inspire young minds. Her expertise in the industry and commitment to community engagement make her the perfect fit for bringing Learning Express Toys to Rice Village.

Grand Opening Festivities
To mark the occasion, Learning Express Toys will host a series of celebratory events, including fairy hair styling, permanent jewelry, balloon animals, raffles, giveaways, and an engaging scavenger hunt with prizes.
One of the highlights will be a special meet-and-greet with Bluey, the beloved character from the popular children’s television series, on March 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Additionally, a toy drive benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital will run throughout the grand opening weekend, encouraging attendees to donate toys to support children in need.
A New Home for Learning Express Toys
The Rice Village location will take over the space previously occupied by Fundamentally Toys on Rice Boulevard. Along with its wide range of toys, the store will offer complimentary gift wrapping and a birthday registry service.
