More than 50 customers waited for the doors to reopen of the Learning Express Toys of University Park earlier this month. Residents of the Braden River area, husband and wife team Chris and Pam Stolz say they “are excited to be active participants in the community.” Their Grand Opening weekend featured appearances by Elmo, Queen Elsa, and Princess Anna.

A graphic designer by trade for the past 14 years, Chris often dreamed of owning a business with his wife. Pam has significant retail and banking experience and previously worked at the LE Toys of University Park. When that location was put up for sale by a two-store franchisee, Chris and Pam knew it was a perfect fit.

“The neighboring businesses are wonderful,” says Pam. “This location is becoming a great shopping resource for the community and is seen as a destination!”  With Five Guys Burgers, Nordstrom’s Rack, LA Fitness, BJ’s Wholesale, and Marshalls—to name only a few—in the complex, it’s easy to see why customers are flocking to this spot.

In addition to the relevant professional experience that Chris and Pam bring to Learning Express Toys, they also have five children and four grandchildren with a fifth grandchild due in August. “We’ve purchased a lot of toys over the years,” says Chris. As a child, Chris enjoyed toys that required imagination and building, and Pam liked dolls and everything that allowed her to express her nurturing side. Their interests and talents are an excellent combination for toy store owners! We are thrilled to welcome them into the Learning Express Toys family.
