Frisco, TX, March 9, 2017 – Join Learning Express Toys, the nation’s largest educational toy retailer, for a fun-filled, weekend-long grand opening celebration at its brand-new Frisco, Texas location Friday, March 24 through Sunday, March 26.
Elmo, Marshall and Peppa Pig will be guests of honor throughout the weekend, which will kick off Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Festivities will continue through Saturday with face painting, snow cones and a surprise guest princess, and end Sunday with a balloon artist and an Easter Bunny appearance.
New store owners Thomas and Sonnie Stanford, who live 10 minutes from the store and have an 8-year-old daughter at a local elementary school, are excited to share their love of family and play with their community.
“We want to add value to our community through a toy store that focuses on educating and developing everyone through various forms of play,” the Stanfords said. “This new venture allows us to provide a quality service to our community through direct interactions.”
Thomas, a U.S. Marines veteran, comes from a background of business consulting and program management, while Sonnie has 20 years of experience in human resource management.
The store is located in the heart of Frisco at 3245 Main Street, Ste. 273 and will be open Monday through Wednesday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m.-8pm, and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Leading up to the grand opening celebration, on Thursday, March 23 from 4-7 p.m., 10 percent of proceeds will go toward the Frisco Family YMCA. A 25 percent discount off any one item will be offered at the store Friday, March 24 through Sunday, March 26.
Throughout the weekend, visitors may enter their names to win gift baskets. Winners will be drawn on Monday, March 27.
