“Everyone should have a neighborhood toy store,” exclaimed new franchise owner Kim Dawson. On November 20, Kim and her mother Wendy Shenberg opened a Learning Express Toys store in Collegeville, PA.
“We live in a tight-knit community,” Kim said. “And, we look forward to making a difference in the region by offering fun in-store classes and events as well as hosting fundraising campaigns.” Longtime customers, Kim and Wendy have always been impressed by the exemplary customer service and the educational aspect of Learning Express Toys. “We wanted to share the Learning Express experience with Collegeville,” noted Kim.
With 12-foot ceilings and 2,800 square feet of space, this location is a toy mavens’ dream. During the Grand Opening Weekend, the store offered a 20% storewide discount in addition to contests, prizes, raffles, and giveaways. Families enjoyed face painting and special visits from Elmo.
Both Kim and Wendy have extensive experience working with children. Kim previously was an elementary school teacher, and Wendy is a retired English teacher.
